Rating:

This short, fictionalised account of a brief visit to a Fijian rural village, as observed through the eyes of a western visitor, is an attempt to capture something of the daily routines and customs of Fijian villagers. It is based on several actual visits to such rural communities made by the author during her two year stay in Fiji.
