Contraversal X Factor contestant Katie Waissel is supposedly astounded and distraught by newpaper stories concerning her grandmother and the escort industry.

Allegations over the weekend that the contestant’s 81-year-old grandmother Sheila Vogel-Coupe is a `secret hooker' who charges £250 per hour for a full service. She has been listed on numerous raunchy websites. It is thought that Katie learned of the story by X Factor management who were working on the show. A source told a national newspaper: "She was taken into a private room by two female staff who told her the whole story. As you can imagine she was quite distraught and devastated. It came like a bolt from the blue for her - she had no idea that her grandmother was working in this industry. After a few tears, Katie calmed down a bit but did say, 'I cannot believe this. When is all this going to stop? It's just one thing after another.'."
