Everyone wants to be a super affiliate, but not all of the marketing roads will lead there. There are a lot of marketing techniques that are not as effective as others, and there are others that are effective but will break the advertising budget more quickly than others. By thinking outside the box and doing more than simply buying ads, it is possible to turn a small enterprise into a super affiliate empire.

The name of the game right now is to get your affiliate links out there to as many people as possible and as inexpensively as possible. To do this, instead of concentrating all of the marketing into ads, try a few other ways to get your name out there. A lot of affiliates find they bring a new dimension to their business by branding themselves rather than the companies they are affiliates for. Branding yourself means that people trust to you and come to you for things to buy, rather than searching aimlessly and choosing someone else. Making yourself into a brand often entails putting together a large and detailed website that people will come back to for its information. The links, of course, are embedded into the information.

Another way to do the same thing is to market a newsletter with your information and links. Getting a customer list and the names of those interested I receiving free information through email is the first step. Then, your n
ewsletters can be parked on an auto responder. These will need no real maintenance other than new newsletters periodically. Some affiliates choose to send a free report or series of reports instead of newsletters. This can also be used with sending out free ebooks packed with links. The internet is brimming with free information that can be used, or you can use your own experience to write helpful materials.

In addition to your name building enterprises, there is also the tried and true method of placing paid ads. These can be through Adsense or Adwords, or you may shop around for smaller ways to get your links out there. Buying ads on smaller sites that have good traffic and have something to do with the items you are selling is a good way to stretch the advertising budget and get the name out there to sites that you know get traffic that will be interested. As good as the automated systems are, they don’t always pick the best websites to put your ad on. Doing it yourself provides a much more targeted approach. And, if you are getting sales through that site, you will know how to find others that are similar on which to place ads.

Watch the trends. If everyone is crazy about ebooks this year, then you should have some of them to send out. If everyone is crazy about PowerPoint presentations next year, then put one together. Web marketing changes fast, and the super affiliates are the ones who are able to stay on top of it and ride that wave into boatloads of cash.
